Pursuant to Utah State Code 17-23-14 and Chapter 14.17 of the Salt Lake County Ordinances, a monument preservation permit is required prior to disturbing, removing, or covering any public survey monument in Salt Lake County. Permits may be obtained and must be filed in the Salt Lake County Surveyor’s Office at 2001 S State St Suite N1300, Salt Lake City, Utah, Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
