1. Salt Lake County Surveyor shall be notified, not less than 72 hours, prior to the disturbing, damaging, moving, removing, covering,
or destroying of any existing Public Survey Monument(s) Phone -- (801) 468-2016.
2. At the time the Permit is issued, the Salt Lake County Surveyor will collect a non-refundable, $100.00 (one hundred dollars) to deposit
into the Salt Lake County Surveyor's Public Land Corner Preservation Fund, for each existing or new Public Survey Monument to be installed
or replaced, as referenced by this permit.
3. After obtaining a Permit and prior to an existing Public Survey Monument(s) being removed or disturbed, the Permittee shall request the
Salt Lake County Surveyor reference said monument(s).
4. After obtaining a Permit and prior to installing new Public Survey Monument(s), the Permittee shall request the Salt Lake County Surveyor
field verify monument point(s) and straddle(s), established by Permittee.
5. After receiving notification, from the Salt Lake County Surveyor, that existing monument(s) were referenced, or the position of new monument(s)
have been field verified, the Permittee shall be responsible for the remonumentation of existing Monument(s) or installation of new Monument(s)
in accordance with the Salt Lake County Surveyor's standard monument drawing; including the transporting, installation, placement of concrete
collars, core cutting, and traffic safety control.
6. Permittee shall notify the Salt Lake County Surveyor, within 24 hours, after final installation of all monument(s), referenced under this Permit.
7. This Monument Preservation Permit shall expire 90 calendar days from date of issuance or after written notice of acceptance by the Salt Lake
County Surveyor, whichever occurs first.
8. The holder of this permit agrees to comply with all applicable laws and ordinances of the jurisdictional entity and the State of Utah, and adhere to
requirements of the federal highway manual of uniform traffic control devices. Additionally, the Permittee agrees to indemnify Salt Lake County for all
claims, demands, losses, damages, or liability incurred or suffered by the County due to negligent acts or omissions caused by the Permittee.
9. Inspection Required: Permittee shall request inspection by Jurisdictional Entity no less than 24 hours prior to the installation of the monument(s).
